In New York City between 2014 and 2016, more than 60,000 people were arrested for marijuana, and 52,730 were black or Latino. This same disparity that we see in the arrests of minorities is almost identical to the disparity on the business side.
It is the goal of WeGrow to change this and close the wealth gap by shifting the conversation to inclusion and fairness within the cannabis industry.
WeGrow is raising funds to create a nationwide magazine and web show that highlights minority-owned cannabis businesses and initiatives, sharing these stories with the legislators in power.
